This violin has a phenomenal dark tone. The tone evaluation is very very good! 200 or more year old violin, neck and scroll are by another maker. It is a handmade violin, possibly Saxon. It is just a little longer and narrower than usual. The length of the back is 362 mm and 200 mm wide. The varnish is very nice, but probably altered from the original.
The condition is good. There are repaired short edge cracks by the neck and saddle. The button on the back was replaced.
